I Am Met With A Seminary Student Essay - 868 Words

Recently I met with a seminary student I have been meeting with for the past two years. Our normal room was taken and we ended up in one across the hall. After setting into his chair, the man looked around and said, â€Å"I am glad we are in this room today.† I wondered out loud, â€Å"Why?† He then explained it was the room we used when we first began to meet in 2014, and being in it reminded him of how much God had grown him since then.. We spent much of the hour remembering each semester and what changed took place in each season. God had done a powerful work. We could see how far he had come, and we were filled with anticipation for what God was doing in his life currently. This story was repeated over and over the past couple of weeks. The ending of another semester provided a natural vista from which to gaze back over the previous months and years to see how significantly the Spirit of God had been working and how much growth had taken place since we have begun meeting. For some, we have been meeting for years, long enough to see the ebbs and flows of their spiritual life and to notice how different their response to the challenges and trials of life has become. Sometimes our time together is a celebration of how much God has done and how much they have grown. There is something very powerful in their finding themselves in a very familiar situation, and noticing by the way they are walking through it that they are a different person than they were before. I have stated, finding the theme of a story can be tricky even for adults. Additionally, the information I gathered from the q and a on the first day, also illustrated these students are no different than anyone else. Many of them struggled at this skill. Each day I instructed another lesson on the theme, additional students understood the differences between a theme and a moral. The hard one for students to grasp is the difference between the theme and main idea. I stressed in every lesson that students need to remember, the theme is the message the author is trying to convey to us. The main idea can often be directly linked to the title, To Kill a Mockingbird the reader can ask themselves; what does it mean to kill a mockingbird? Perhaps even; what is a mockingbird anyway? When there is free trade between Australia and Japan, Australia imports more cars due to lower cost of cars in Japan. Hence, the supply of cars increases resulting in the rightward shift of the supply curve from S1 to S2. Under free trade, the supply increases more than the demand and price falls to free market price P1. The domestic supply is Q1 and the imported quantity is Q2-Q1.
